Mary Had A Little Lamb

It just occurred to us after all these years....that the long beloved children's song "Mary Had A Little Lamb" refers to Mary, the mother of Jesus, and Christ, the spotless sacrifice.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

"Mary had a little lamb, whose fleece was white as snow"...

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

Wow! That gives me goosey pimples
Think how it applies to our day here in America:
Mary had a little lamb, His fleece as white as snow...
And everywhere that Mary went, the Lamb was sure to go...(I will never leave thee nor forsake thee)
It followed her to SCHOOL one day which was against the rules (Jesus is not allowed in our schools)
It made the children laugh and play, to see the Lamb at school (Jesus brings us happiness, and gives us rest and lightens our burdens)
And SO.....The teacher turned it out,
But STILL it lingered near,
And waited patiently about, till Mary did appear,(For the LORD is long suffereing, not willing that any should perish)
Why does the Lamb love Mary so, the eager children cry (For God so loved the world that he gave us his only begotten Son)
Why Mary loves the Lamb you know,
The teacher did reply! (We love him because he first loved us)

Oh. That is a cute Lamb. I never thought about it like that. Wow. God shows himself to us in so many ways. God is so good. I like this new blog. Keep up the good work and the good lessons!
